Victorian floods claim the life of second person
The body of a second person has been recovered from Victoria floodwaters after search and rescue officers discovered the body of a 20-year-old inside a vehicle in the state’s south-east. Police are yet to formally identify the body - which was discovered off Maddens Bridge Road in Glenfyne -but believe it to be that of a missing woman who was last seen in Simpson on Wednesday. The death is not being treated as suspicious. A man in his 60s was also found dead in floodwaters in Gippsland on Thursday. An evacuation order remains in place for residents in the Traralgon Creek region as more rain is expected to fall over the coming days.
