NSW government unveils plans to bring back international students
New South Wales Treasurer Dominic Perrottet says the government is looking to have international students arrive in the next six to eight weeks. “The system has been signed off by New South Wales Health and New South Wales Police and is currently before the federal government for final review,” Mr Perrottet told Sky News. The treasurer said the program will run alongside the state's hotel quarantine system. “Not one Australian will be put out by these changes and we will have a provider of accommodation which will be in the same system,” he said. “It won’t come at a cost to the taxpayers because the bill will be footed by the university sector.”
