'No jab, no work' policy for aged care 'not recommended' by health officials
Health officials do not currently advise there should be a ‘no jab, no work’ policy for the aged care sector, says Finance Minister Simon Birmingham. “The health officials across the country had not advised and not recommended that there be a mandatory approach in relation to the aged care work force,” Mr Birmingham told Sky News. He said while this is currently true there is a priority “first and foremost” to protect those “most likely to face the severe consequences of COVID”. "If they change that recommendation that it be mandated, well then of course we'll work with the states and territories to implement that,” he said.
