Vulnerable to be prioritised once flights from India restart: Karen Andrews
The most vulnerable will be prioritised once flights from India to Australia restart according to Home Affair Minister Karen Andrews. There are currently up to 9,000 stranded Australians which are registered with DFAT in India and Sky News understands repatriation flights will not start up until mid-May at the earliest. Ms Andrews said, “the images that we’re seeing of what’s happening in India just shows the devastation of what is being experienced by so many people”.
