Rural women celebrated by Harvey Norman Shine Awards
Harvey Norman’s Shine Awards have celebrated rural women – recognising them as the often “unsung heroes” of regional Australia. The Weekly Times’ and Shine Awards co-founder – along with Harvey Norman CEO Katie Page – said they established the award because “we decided that we wanted to do something really to shine a light on rural and regional women”. “I think they’re unsung heroes, they do so much in their communities and they’re not necessarily recognised.”
