States 'can't keep shutting borders' over a few cases
New South Wales Treasurer Dominic Perrottet says the state has always sought to act in the national interest by keeping borders open. This comes as a number of states closed off borders to Queensland after several cases emerged in Brisbane. “We’ve invested a lot in our contact tracing teams and ultimately through this period of time we have always wanted to act in the national interest and keep borders open,” Mr Perrottet told Sky News. “We can’t just be shutting down borders on every couple of cases that come through.”
