NSW records COVID-19 infection linked to Byron hen's party
Premier Gladys Berejkilian has revealed NSW recorded one case of community transmission overnight linked to the Byron Bay hen’s party. In response, NSW has placed local government areas Byron, Ballina, Tweed and Lismore shires on extra high alert and imposed additional restrictions in those locations. Coronavirus advice has been changed to reflect the situation with NSW urging people not to visit the locations potentially impacted. Ms Berejiklian said the three other people who live in the same household with the person who tested positive have all tested negative and urged people experiencing symptoms to go for testing.
