Commonwealth should ‘take NSW up’ on offer to help with vaccine rollout
The federal government should take New South Wales up on an offer to help with the national coronavirus vaccine rollout according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. Only 670,000 people have been vaccinated in Australia despite a federal target to vaccinate four million by the end of March. Reports indicate only one-third of residential aged and disability care facilities in Australia have received COVID-19 vaccinations. Mr Clennell said “I’m deeply concerned about where this vaccination program’s headed. I don’t have confidence in it”. “Aged care is the absolute priority” Politicians from New South Wales and Queensland both blamed federal delivery delays for the slow rollout when questioned by the press.
