Biden $2 trillion infrastructure plan to be financed by US taxpayers
President Joe Biden has unveiled what he describes as a once in a generation plan to rebuild the United States infrastructure financed by corporate taxpayers. The $2 trillion proposal includes spending on roads, bridges, shipping ports and airports as well as green energy projects. Touting the new proposal President Joe Biden said if enacted the scheme would ease congestion, cut pollution and slash commute times. The proposal also includes building or retrofitting two million homes or units, replacing every lead pipe in the country and ensuring every American has access to reliable and high-speed internet. The president said he wanted to raise corporate taxes and eliminate tax breaks for fossil fuel companies to pay for the new spending.
