'Where do you stop?': Bruce Beresford hits out at cancel culture
Director and filmmaker Bruce Beresford says society has to learn from history instead of cancelling it. “It’s happening all over the world,” Mr Beresford told Sky News. “You can’t just sit around and cancel previous cultures and say we have to start again.” Mr Beresford said it’s not surprising to realise that art and society changes over time periods. “Everything changes all the time.” He noted the tearing down of statues of people that “have fallen from favour” over comments made in different eras. “Where do you stop?”
