NSW restrictions to ease on Friday with visitors cap lifted to 50
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced further easing of restrictions in the state over the coming weeks, with the cap on visitors in the home to ease to 50 people on Friday. For weddings, 30 people will from Friday be permitted on the dancefloor at any one time. The Premier flagged drinks could be consumed while standing in indoor locations from March 17, dependant on no new outbreaks occurring in the state. The cap on classes in gyms will be lifted to 50 people on the condition attendees remain subject to the four-square-metre rule. Limits on singers and performers have been lifted from five to 30, and congregations in places of worship may once again sing, provided everyone wears a mask and observes a four-square-metre rule. Ms Berejiklian stressed the state was at a “critical stage in the pandemic” and needed to avoid complacency.
