Doctor behind Qld vaccine bungle managed by company involved in Vic quarantine
It has been revealed the doctor responsible for the vaccine bungle in Queensland was managed by the same company involved in Victoria’s troubled hotel quarantine. Questions have been raised as to how the doctor - who administered four times the prescribed dose of the Pfizer vaccine to two aged care residents - was able to provide vaccinations without the proper training. Health Care Australia was also involved in providing medical care within Victoria’s bungled hotel quarantine scheme in which nebuliser was blamed for the Holiday Inn outbreak. Premier Daniel Andrews said it was up to COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria to determine if it was necessary to launch an investigation into Health Care Australia in the state. Mr Andrews also denied there was any link between the bungles in Queensland and Victoria.
