WA to ease border restrictions to Queensland, Victoria
WA Premier Mark McGowan has announced border restrictions would be eased for Australia's eastern states following no cases of community transition in Queensland, Victorian, and New South Wales. Mr McGowan said from 12:01 AM on February 1, Queensland would move to the state's Very Low-Risk category allowing residents to enter the state without the need to quarantine, while Victoria would move to the same category on February 5. New South Wales, however, would remain in the Low-Risk category but would be required to reach 28 days of no community transmission before moving to Very Low Risk. NSW residents would be permitted to enter WA but would be required to self-isolate for 14 days and be tested.
