Up to 390,000 people will fill the stands during the Australian Open this year making it the most significant sporting event the world has seen in months. Crowds of up to 30,000 people have been approved for day and night sessions in the first eight days of the tournament. For the final six days of the competition, the figure will drop to 25,000. The tournament is set to begin on February 8.
