Novavax vaccine close to 90 per cent effective
The Novavax coronavirus vaccine - which the federal government is hoping to roll out in Australia - has reported promising results after a 15,000-person trial in the UK found it was close to 90 per cent effective. Australia has signed a deal to secure 51 million doses of the vaccine which is expected to be available in the first half of 2021 if approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
