US President Joe Biden has faced criticism he is not keeping his inauguration pledge to restore national unity as he signs record-breaking numbers of executive orders and is yet to meet with lawmakers on Capitol Hill. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki defended the president pointing to his efforts to introduce a $1.9 trillion stimulus package to assist with the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. "That package has the support of the majority of Americans according to every poll that we have seen publicly released. Part of unifying the country is addressing the problems the American people are facing," she said.
