NSW Premier 'aghast' at 'brazen' Northern Beaches wedding attendees
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has condemned the “brazen” behaviour of residents from the Northern Beaches who were caught by police at a wedding reception. Police on Sunday issued nine fines to the group from the Northern Beaches who attended the event. Ms Berejiklian said “I think all of us are shaking our heads, absolutely aghast that that occurred”. “That is the type of behaviour that risks it for everybody.” The premier urged people to consider the risk to the broader community when public health restrictions were broken, pointing to the importance of keeping the community open. “We are not going to compromise public safety and we want to make sure everybody does the right thing”. "If you do the wrong thing, you will get caught."
