NSW health authorities have warned they expect COVID case numbers to rise after a new six-person cluster emerged in Croydon Park on Wednesday, with no links to the Northern Beaches outbreak. The infections are from three different households and there are dozens of close contacts. The state recorded 18 new infections on Wednesday, nine of those connected to the Northern Beaches taking that cluster to 134, three are from Wollongong and also Northern Sydney and are currently under investigation.
