JobKeeper and JobSeeker payments slashed
Millions of Australians have had their coronavirus supplements slashed as the federal government seeks to prioritise job creation for 2021. JobKeeper payments are now reduced by $200 and the JobSeeker subsidy by $100. Labor, and welfare groups, have called on the Morrison government to reverse the changes. Businesses are concerned the income support will prevent Australians from applying for new jobs.
