Berejiklian thanks 'well-behaved' Sydneysiders as state records three new COVID-19 cases
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has praised the conduct of Sydneysiders on New Year's Eve as she confirmed the state recorded three new COVID-19 cases. New South Wales Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant said the three cases were situated in Western Sydney and urged anyone in the Greystanes, Auburn, Berala and Lidcombe areas to come forward to get tested if they presented with even the most minor of symptoms. Authorities confirmed the cluster of cases in the Inner West suburb of Croydon and two cases from Wollongong were linked to the Avalon cluster. Ms Berejiklian also thanked locals for being responsible on New Year's Eve.
