Telehealth to be made permanent
Telehealth will become a permanent part of Australia's health system beyond the pandemic. Health Minister Greg Hunt announcing bulk-billed video and telephone medical consultations will be extended indefinitely. The system has been ramped up as a temporary measure to assist with social distancing at the height of the pandemic.
