Moderna files for COVID-19 vaccine approval
Moderna has announced it has applied for emergency use authorisation of their vaccine candidate as the US recorded an additional 4 million COVID-19 cases in the month of November. The drugmaker said its vaccine is more than 94 per cent effective in large-scale clinical trials. The approval process should take about two weeks with the White House commenting the first doses will be shipped within 24-hours of being approved.
