'Trump is toast' due to key structural issues: Ken Courtis
Starfort Investment Holdings Chairman Ken Courtis says “Trump is toast” in the upcoming United States presidential election due to three key structural issues which have been prevalent in his campaign for some time. Mr Courtis told Sky News in his view the election was “really simple”. He said President Trump’s core electoral base was 1.5 per cent smaller “relative to the overall US electorate today than it was in 2016”. “And you know in 2016 it was almost a lucky punch that he won,” he said. “Number two, there’s no significant third party this year to drain votes off from the Democrats like there was in 2016.” Mr Courtis said the third prominent issue was while Bernie Sanders was “shafted” this year – like he was in 2016 – “this time he very quickly fell in line behind Biden and got his supporters along with them.”
