Retail staff face increased abuse by customers during pandemic period
Alarming statistics have shown up to 88 per cent of retail staff experienced some sort of abuse by aggressive customers during this COVID-19 period. After nine weeks in lockdown, the reopening of bricks-and-mortar stores in Melbourne could not have come soon enough for business owners. Customer Service Expert and Author Monique Richardson said "when we saw COVID come into play... it really disrupted the way people were shopping. "It impacted the way customers would normally go about what they do. It certainly led to escalating customer behaviours," she said.
