Queensland to remain closed to Sydney, open to rest of state
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced Greater Sydney will remain closed to Queensland while the strict border measures will be eased for the rest of New South Wales. Ms Palaszczuk said the decision was made based on the advice of Queensland’s Chief Health Officer Dr Jeanette Young – who raised concerns about levels of community transmission below the border line. The reopening date to the rest of the state will also be pushed back from November 1 to November 3. “That is to ensure that all the border passes that need to be renewed will be able to be renewed effectively and efficiently,” she said. Queensland will remain closed to Victoria.
