Palaszczuk promises to hand down budget before Christmas
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has promised to deliver a budget before Christmas as she prepares to head back to work tomorrow following a major Labor win at the election. “If that means working right up until Christmas we will, because that’s what we promised to do,” she said. Ms Palaszczuk thanked Queenslanders for putting their trust in her. “I vow that I will work hard for you each and every day and I will repay that trust,” she said. “At the end of the day it’s about looking after Queenslanders and that’s exactly what my priorities are.” The premier also announced one new case of the coronavirus located in hotel quarantine.
