Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has fired up over questions about her decision to reopen Queensland’s borders to all of New South Wales, barring Greater Sydney. The premier hit back at Sky News Political Reporter Jonathon Lea, saying “if you can be polite, if you can be respectful, that’s all I ask”. “Let me answer you this, there was one or two cases in Victoria, right, the virus got out of control and the whole state was locked down and we saw 700 deaths,” she said. “I do not want to see 700 deaths in Queensland. “I want a Queensland that is strong and a Queensland that is safe "You can't have a robust economy unless you have a strong health response." Ms Palaszczuk said she was provided with no other option by the chief health officer, "and I accepted it lock, stock and barrel".
