Andrews: Revamped hotel quarantine scheme forecast for end of November
Premier Daniel Andrews has announced a revamped hotel quarantine scheme could be set up in Victoria by the end of November, allowing flights to Victoria to restart before Christmas. “We should be able to hit the agreed target we agreed to at National Cabinet and it is to have flights returning and people reunited with their families for Christmas,” he said. The premier pointed out his government were still waiting on “practical” advice and conclusions to be handed down by the hotel quarantine inquiry board in order to develop a new model for dealing with return travellers. “We are ready to stand up with the new model,” he said.
