Living with COVID-19 sustainably a 'real challenge' for next year
If a viable vaccine does not emerge early next year as the federal government is predicting, finding a sustainable way to live with the virus will become increasingly important, Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says. In a press conference on Tuesday, the prime minister suggested international travellers may be allowed to quarantine at home instead of in a government-run facility as long as they are coming from a reasonably COVIDSafe country. Mr Clennell said, “if they don’t get a vaccine, they are going to have to start looking at these things pretty seriously”. “I know the AAHPC are advising on this at the next meeting of National Cabinet. “It’s a real challenge for next year."
