US polls and ratings favourJoe Biden and the Democrat Convention
Despite a solid performance from the President and his supporters over the past few days, the virtual Democrat Convention has drawn more TV viewers than the Republican Convention, according to early figures released by Nielsen. Sky News Political Reporter Annelise Nielsen said the Republican Convention this week saw a strong African American support for the law and order message with Senator Tim Scott a notable speaker at the conference. The African American Senator pointed out the Black community can identify as a Republican without going against the Black Lives Matter movement. As destructive riots continue to impact the country, the President tried to double down on the soft Democrat approach to protesters saying “if you give power to Joe Biden the radical Left will defund police departments all across America”. “No one will be safe in Biden’s America," Donald Trump said. However, across the board, polls indicate Democrat nominee Joe Biden has a 1-10 point lead on Mr Trump.
