Fears grow over coronavirus cluster in Sydney's east
A new COVID-19 testing clinic is set to open today in Sydney’s Rushcutters Bay after a member of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia and their partner tested positive to the virus. The club was closed for deep cleaning on Tuesday and will reopen on August 1. The cases have been linked to two restaurants in Potts Point - Thai Rock and The Apollo - where the pair dined in lead up to their positive results. The Prime Minister’s advisor was linked to The Apollo cluster which was sparked by a restaurant staffer who tested positive for the virus. A spokesperson for Scott Morrison confirmed Nico Louw returned a negative test result however will remain in isolation for the full 14-day period to mitigate the risk of spreading the disease. Another case of the virus was also identified at a Westfield in Hurstville as well as one at a Parramatta primary school. Image: News Corp Australia
