Bragg insists federal and Vic state govts are 'working collaboratively'
Despite rumours of increasing tensions, Liberal Senator Andrew Bragg says all levels of government are working together to address the coronavirus crisis in Victoria. “The most important thing at this stage is that people don’t see politicians engaging in unedifying squabbles,” he said. "At the end of the day if you’re a resident or family member of someone in one of those homes, what you want to know is the governments are working together collaboratively to make sure these outbreaks are contained.” There are currently 769 confirmed cases of coronavirus across 80 aged care facilities in Victoria and medical teams from the national trauma centre have been deployed to help address the worsening COVID-19 situation in the state.
