Aust-NZ winning bid to host 2023 Women's World Cup 'greatest day in Aust football'
Fox Sport’s Mark Bosnich says today has been “arguably the greatest” day in Australian football after the country won the joint-bid with New Zealand to host the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Mr Bosnich said congratulations was due to the “pioneers of the game….to see the progress that they’ve made in such a short period of time and to get to this stage is absolutely amazing”. “We know that Australia [and] New Zealand do host great sporting events and this is a wonderful opportunity,” he said. “The most important thing is that it’s a privilege to host a sporting event of this size and that we make sure we honour that decision as best we possibly can.” Image: Getty
