US company on track to roll out 100 million doses of trial vaccine
US based company Novavax has announced it is on track to roll out over 100 million doses of a potential coronavirus vaccine by the end of the year. The first step of human trials in the southern hemisphere will begin on Tuesday at Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital where about 130 healthy volunteers will be given a dose of the trial drug. Preliminary results from the trial are expected by the end of July and if successful, will move to phase two which will see thousands of volunteers tested. Image: AP
