Twitter is the ‘Wuhan wet market of ideas’
Twitter’s decision to ‘fact check’ President Donald Trump shows it is “increasingly determined to put their thumb on the scale for the coming 2020” presidential election, according to Sky News host James Morrow. Earlier this week Twitter fact checked President Trump’s account, adding a warning label on two of his tweets regarding mail in ballots and voter fraud with a link to a CNN article. The social media giant also hid a recent tweet by the President, claiming it glorifies violence. The tweet can be viewed, but with a prominent warning about its content is attached. “…These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!” President Trump wrote. Mr Morrow said Twitter has now decided “to be the morality police” when it comes to deciding which tweets incite violence. He said Twitter’s decision to ignore many inflammatory left-wing posters shows its “terrible influence on the body politics." “We have said it before, it really is Wuhan wet market of ideas,” he said.
