Man arrested following Brisbane siege
A man has been arrested following a hostage situation in Brisbane. Specialist police and negotiators were called to the scene at Everton Hills after a man broke into a house garage armed with a bladed weapon. The area was placed into lockdown with residents urged to stay in their homes. The owners were safely evacuated, but a woman believed to be an associate of the man was taken hostage.
