'Deliberate decision' to leave 'most vulnerable' out of JobKeeper
Labor MP Peter Khalil says JobKeeper is a good idea which has been “implemented very poorly” with discrepancies in the eligibility criteria. “A single mum who is a causal only for 11 months doesn’t get JobKeeper, but a uni student who only works four hours a week suddenly gets 10 times what they were being paid,” Mr Khalil told Sky News. Mr Khalil said there had been a “deliberate” decision made by the government to leave out one million casual workers, “to leave out, in almost its entirety, the arts sector and to leave out temporary visa holders”.
