Ruby Princess named likely source for Tasmanian outbreak
The Ruby Princess has been named as the likely source of Tasmania’s coronavirus cluster in the state’s north west. Staff from the region’s two hospitals - North West Regional and Private Hospital - have been in quarantine for the last two weeks. A report into the cluster also revealed some hospital staff unknowingly infected with the virus worked for several days with symptoms. Premier Peter Gutwein urged individuals to not blame healthcare workers or cruise ship passengers for the outbreak. “What we have is a dedicated health workforce, what we have is a highly infectious disease," he said.
