PM brushes off China's criticism of virus probe
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has brushed off criticism from China over Australia's push for an inquiry into the origins of COVID-19. Mr Morrison said the move was "common sense" and he would not resile from it. "Australia will do what is in our interest, in the global interest, and we will, of course, continue to support moves to ensure there is a proper independent assessment of what has occurred here," he said on Wednesday. "I mean, that is in the global health interest, it is in the global economic interest. It is not a remarkable position. "It is a fairly common sense position and one that we don't resile from."
