Australia 'consolidating, extending, securing' coronavirus curve: Hunt
Health Minister Greg Hunt has announced the nation has a firm handle on the coronavirus pandemic as the government’s rigorous testing program has resulted in almost 530,000 tests conducted in total. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Mr Hunt said there have only been 12 new cases of the coronavirus identified with only one case of community transmission. “That is perhaps the most important figure I have the privilege of raising since coming into this role and dealing with the coronavirus issue,” he said. “It means that as a country we are not just flattening the curve but we are consolidating it, extending it and securing it”.
